- Application Support Specialist - Full time Contract

The role:
As an Application Support Specialist, you are a detail and results oriented, collaborative team member that will focus on the delivery, testing, execution and compliance of software updates.
You will:
- Identify, assess, validate, monitor, remediate and report on implementations/deployments as well as exemptions, providing reporting metrics for both team tracking/management and senior leaders.
 - Patch virtual and physical technology including server firmware, virtualization, hypervisor software, OS and storage device firmware, and microcode
 - Implement NIST standards and apply hardening guides
 
Skills:
- Experience with Patch Management in traditional / on-prem and Cloud environments
 - Experience with ITIL, also vulnerability and risk management
 - In-depth knowledge of security control
 - Configuration management experience
 - Experience with patching Middleware and Databases
 - Proficient in VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Servers, Containers, Azure and Linux
 - Strong understanding of data communication concepts, network/software configuration management and firewalls
 - Highly motivated self-starter, with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities, strong problem solving, and negotiating, influencing, partnership skills.
 - Detail oriented, with the ability to manage all tasks within the pre-defined timelines and Change Management policies
